Aprio Spring 2028 Internship Application - Tax - Reno, NV

Aprio invites high-performing accounting students interested in Tax to apply for the 2028 Aprio Spring (January–April) Internship Program. This internship is designed for students who are eager to contribute, take initiative, and gain meaningful exposure to public accounting. Interns at Aprio dive directly into hands-on client work, collaborating with experienced professionals while developing the technical and professional skills necessary for a successful career in public accounting. The internship is a hybrid experience requiring at least 3 days in office. This application is specifically for the Spring 2028 Tax internships in the Reno, NV office.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of tax returns; Supporting clients in tax research and planning strategies; Analyzing financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance considerations; Collaborating with team members to deliver innovative and practical tax solutions; Interacting with professionals across the firm to support client service initiatives; Working with clients of all sizes across a diverse range of industries; Gaining exposure to complex accounting, tax, and assurance projects; Collaborating directly with partners, managers, and experienced staff; Developing a strong technical and professional foundation in public accounting

Requirements

Accounting major pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; Minimum 3.3 GPA; On track to meet CPA eligibility requirements with a clear plan to pursue CPA licensure; Interest in pursuing a full-time career in public accounting; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to apply Excel skills in data analysis and reporting; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and strong attention to detail; Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients and team members; Must be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; No classes are permitted during the duration of the internship period; Spring internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; Hybrid experience requiring at least 3 days in office
