Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our projects and facilities management team, supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of works across a secure estate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in commercial, procurement or project support who is looking to develop their career within quantity surveying. You will gain hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Assess tender returns for accuracy, compliance and value for money; Prepare and issue tender enquiries; Draft and place subcontract orders with clear scope and terms; Support development of scopes, activity schedules and pricing templates; Assist with monthly cost reporting and forecasting

Requirements

Experience in a QS, commercial, procurement or project support role; Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships; Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively; Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Nice to have

Facilities Management, Construction or MoD experience; Experience working with NEC and JCT contracts
