Associate Chief Financial Officer - FT - Days - MRHS

The Associate Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) supports and directs financial operations and resources at Memorial Regional Hospital South (MRHS) and the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute ensuring alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of Memorial Healthcare System (MHS).

Responsibilities

Supports and directs financial operations and resources at Memorial Regional Hospital South (MRHS) and the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute aligning with mission; Proactively develops, analyzes, and interprets key financial performance indicators in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and trends to recommend corrective action; Administers, develops, and/or implements financial policies, programs, systems and strategies; Reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and serves as principal contact for matters in the CFO's absence; Serves as expert on finance matters, reviews audits validates workflows; Maintains knowledge of accounting principles and educates department leaders on healthcare financial policies; Provides leadership and support for financial services initiatives and projects; Responsible for completion of annual budget and tracking hospital and department performance monthly; Builds productive team, ensures staff development, facilitates candidate selection and onboarding, evaluates employee performance; Provides oversight and strategically addresses changes affecting financial operations; Responsible for financial reporting on monthly and annual basis; Collaborates with administrative and service line team of Memorial Rehabilitation Institute; Serves as primary liaison for MRHS with Patient Financial Services; Collaborates with senior leadership, directors, and managers

Requirements

Bachelors (Required); Minimum of five (5) years of accounting and finance experience in a large organization; At least three (3) of those years in an adult acute care, complex healthcare setting; Leadership experience required; Requires critical thinking skills; Requires effective communication skills; Requires decisive judgment; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively; Must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail; Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; Ability to process and analyze complex mathematical data; High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; Business Acumen; Concern for Quality; Develop Relationships; Lead Through Vision; Manage Performance; Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Nice to have

Master's degree or CPA preferred, but not required; Database experience is preferred
