Automation Technician

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the UK's largest Utility companies across the UK, to join as an ambitious Automation Technician and help to develop the business during an exciting phase of growth. This is a field based, UK wide role, so it is imperative that you are happy to travel /work away from home and hold a clean drivers licence.

Responsibilities

Achieve DHF Safety Assured Diploma (2 Day Exam Course) to provide competency in establishing and surveying Automated Gate Systems for BS EN 12453:2017 and DHF TS-013 Compliance, with ability to prepare Risk and Safety Function Assessments; Manage day to day site work / activities / RHI site staff; Manage purchasing requirements for own RHI Projects; Always ensure a good standard of Quality and Efficiency; Report defects, snags, and complaints to Automated Systems Manager; Report Health & Safety defects / incidents / accidents and near miss situations to Automated Systems Manager / Health & Safety Director; Ensure image and name associated with RHI Industrials are always upheld; Liaise with Client's representatives (as required); Ensure company management systems and processes are adhered to; Ensure all works are installed and executed in accordance with the works specification; Ensure all Risk Assessments and Method Statements are adhered to; Promote good practice of material sustainability (Reuse and/or recycle) initiatives to reduce waste and save costs

Requirements

A proven background in Gate Automation Installation, Service or Maintenance role is essential; Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Fault Finding; Competency in problem solving and ability to make diligent recommendations; Demonstration to Clients and End Users of completed systems or individual work(s); Completion of Asset Tagging and Registration of Information; Completion of precise Engineering Reports; Ordering of components and equipment where required; Able to work both individually and as part of a team; Willingness to travel and work away from home; Willing to participate in an out of hours call out Rota; Clean driving licence; PC and IT literate
