Avionics Systems Engineer (Eurofighter)

An opportunity for an Avionics Systems Engineer in the Eurofighter Avionics Joint Team (AJT) in Warton, for a minimum stay of 3 years in the United Kingdom, has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space S.A.U. (Spain). The selected candidate will join the EuroFighter COMMS Avionic Join Team.

Responsibilities

Represent Airbus S.A.U. team in the Eurofighter Avionics Joint Team; Overall integration of all communications systems in Eurofighter and contribution to other EF AVS Subsystems; Data Link (MIDS, VMF, CESMO, JREAP, SATCOM, etc.) Contractual Interoperability Requirements Definition; Generation of Level 2 Design (Functional Requirements, Interfaces and Protocols); DOORS Requirements and Traceability; Hazard Analysis; System Architecture and System Level Design; High Level Design for Other Sub-Systems: Attack and Identification, Armament Control System, Navigation, Defense and Aids Sub-System, Displays and Controls, Integrated Monitoring and Recording System; Test Requirements and Analysis (including System Problem Reports management); Avionics Clearances; Avionics System Safety; Product Managers carrying out coordination and management activities

Requirements

Aeronautical, Telecommunications, Industrial/Electronic Engineering degree or a related discipline; At least 3 years in Systems Engineering; Negotiation and communication skills in order to agree the design, interfaces, etc. in a multicultural environment; Systems Engineering; Experience of front end development processes in EF or other projects; Knowledge of project specific tool (DOORS/RMT, ICDTool, Statemate, PCMS, …); Independent and responsible member of an international Team in a multinational project environment; Result-oriented; Good written and spoken English (project language)

Nice to have

Avionic Systems experience (preferable); Avionics and Communications systems knowledge (ideal)
