Band 6 Registered Midwife

Band 6 Midwives (Fully Registered) Full or Part Time roles. We are looking for self-motivated, dynamic, professional midwives with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our proactive, professional maternity team. The post holder is required to provide holistic midwifery care to women/birthing people and babies in the antenatal, Intrapartum and postnatal periods. The midwifery care is provided both in hospital, Birth Centre, Day Assessment Unit, Maternity Triage and Transitional Care Unit settings. All posts will include shift working (including night duty) and on call duty.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic midwifery care to women/birthing people and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods; Provide midwifery care in hospital, Birth Centre, Day Assessment Unit, Maternity Triage and Transitional Care Unit settings; Work shifts including night duty and on call duty; Deliver high quality, family-centred care

Requirements

Current NMC Registration; Registered Midwife; Maintained up to date professional portfolio; Training in management of obstetric emergencies; To have obtained or be studying to degree level (or diploma with equivalent experience); Recent experience in all aspects of midwifery practice; Competencies relevant to sphere of practice; Experience within UK maternity services in the intrapartum setting; Midwifery Preceptorship period completed

Nice to have

Teaching/Mentoring qualification; Evidence of further study and development of professional and academic skills; Experience of mentoring students
