Bank Rehabilitation Support Worker. Kerwin Court delivers specialist neuro rehabilitation to adults with an acquired brain injury in a residential setting just outside of Broadbridge Heath. You will be working with a team of rehabilitation support workers alongside a multi-disciplinary team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and speech and language therapists. We are a passionate and committed team, delivering a high standard of care and rehabilitation. Our Rehabilitation Support Workers and Clinical Team thrive on working together to enable our service users to be as independent as possible and achieve their rehabilitation goals to include supporting our residents to safely access the community. We will train you to provide personalised support to our adult residents. You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person. The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising – the daily routine of regular life.

Responsibilities

Support residents to safely access the community; Provide personalised support to adult residents following individual support plans; Focus on developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising; Encourage and guide individuals to regain skills and confidence; Work with a team of rehabilitation support workers and a multi-disciplinary team of therapists and psychologists

Requirements

Genuine empathy for residents, with positivity, patience, and resilience; Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well; Excellent face-to-face communication skills and a good standard of literacy; Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload; Successful candidates are subject to compliance checks including 3 years of checkable references and DBS/PVG checks
