Banquet Server, On Call

The Banquets Server- On Call is responsible for completion of all tasks related to set up, service, and break down of all Banquet events. The Banquet Server is primarily responsible but not limited to fulfilling all guest’s service needs according to 1 Hotel standards.

Responsibilities

Complete all tasks related to set up, service, and break down of banquet events; Fulfill guest service needs according to 1 Hotel standards; Anticipate and understand guests’ service needs and respond appropriately; Greet, welcome, and acknowledge all guests; Attend pre-shift meetings and participate in required meetings; Collect and transport supplies for event set-up; Set up and break down tables, chairs, buffets, linen, and props according to Banquet Event Order; Maintain cleanliness and condition of banquet function space; Retrieve and track event materials, décor, and props; Perform post-event cleaning and breakdown of service; Assist with room turns; Follow company and safety policies and procedures; Embody 1 Hotels Vision, Mission, and Compass

Requirements

Prior serving experience; Organized and proficient at multitasking; Reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations; Strong communication and customer service skills; Able to lift at least 50 lbs; Proficient in verbal and written English communication; Able to stand for long periods of time; Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment); Ability to work varying schedules, including holidays
