Behavior Analyst

Responsibilities

Implements Applied Behavior Analytic services across outpatient and inpatient settings within the medical center; Delivers outpatient intensive ABA services, as well as inpatient consultation and direct services; Provides services for patients across the age span, with the primary population being adolescents and adults; Trains staff, community based staff, and caregivers on all interventions; May supervise field work and practicum placement students; Performs complex psychosocial assessments, functional behavioral assessments, functional analysis, and skill assessments; Develops function-based behavioral interventions, training models and teaching programs; Coordinates training with individuals, family and staff; Assesses successful completion of behavior and/or training plans; Coordinates with physicians to ensure continuity of care; Develops, maintains and updates behavior and/or training plans; Acts as primary contact for behavior and/or teaching plan; Collaborates with referral sources and other professionals; Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with community and health care agencies; May serve on agency and community committees; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education or related field and 3 years of experience working with individuals with autism and related disorders or developmental disabilities with comorbid mental health needs across community, school, or other clinical settings required; Or equivalent combination of education and experience; NYS Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) licensure or limited permit upon hire required
