Bilingual Concierge (12-month Contract)

Located in the heart of Canada's capital next door to the Parliament Buildings, the landmark Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa is looking to fill a role of Concierge.

Reporting to the Chief Concierge and Senior Rooms Managers, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require; Assist with any plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during their stay and to ensure timely follow up with guests and any confirmations for bookings; Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service; Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way; Assists in overseeing the bell desk and bell team; Follow department policies, procedures and service standards; Follow all safety policies; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Previous customer related experience required; Must possess a professional presentation; Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills; Must be fluent in both languages; Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset; Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities; Highly responsible & reliable; Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment; Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team; Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time; Previous supervisory/management experience a strong asset
