Assistant Civil Engineer will work on bridge capital design and/or construction projects in the Roadway Bridges group. Perform work of moderate difficulty and responsibility. Supervise a small team engaged in activities related to design, construction oversight, inspection, materials testing, or drafting. Engage in research, investigations or studies related to engineering functions and activities. Develop drawings, write specifications and prepare estimates. Participate in inspections. Verify that all construction, demolition, or alteration plans comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Provide status and progress reports for assigned projects. Review invoices for Consultants and Contractors. Review and comment on technical submissions pertaining to the design effort.

Requirements

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work, or; A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering.
