Boiler Attendant

As a Boiler Attendant, you'll operate, maintain, and oversee steam boilers, air compressors, well water system, reverse osmosis system, and all associated equipment, perform water/chemical treatments, and maintain accurate records. You will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues as necessary.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and oversee steam boilers, air compressors, well water system, reverse osmosis system, and all associated equipment; Perform water/chemical treatments; Maintain accurate records; Troubleshoot equipment issues as necessary; Maintain all mechanical components including but not limited to valves, pumps, steam traps, piping, etc., within the boiler, compressed air, and water treatment systems, as well as associated auxiliary equipment; Perform water testing as needed on boiler feed-water, condensate, boiler water, and plant cooling water; Adjust chemical feeds to maintain proper levels based on chemical test results; Prepare water treatment and boiler chemicals as required, safely, using proper personal protective equipment; Diagnose and correct operational problems associated with any systems in area of responsibility; Assist and cooperate with outside contractors and vendors in troubleshooting and repair of associated equipment

Requirements

High School diploma or GED; 3+ years of experience operating industrial boilers

Nice to have

Experience with water chemistry and testing; Experience with air compressors and dryers
