Care Assistant

Guardian Homecare Limited is recruiting Care Assistants for Tilbury and surrounding areas. We’re looking for compassionate, reliable people to join our supportive Basildon branch team as Care Professionals. Unlike hospital or residential care, community homecare is all about enabling vulnerable adults to remain safely and happily in the place they love most—their own homes. You won't just be ticking off tasks; you'll be building relationships, providing vital companionship, and helping people maintain their dignity and independence. You'll support people to stay independent in their own homes and be a trusted part of a close-knit, local team.

Responsibilities

Providing personal care with dignity and respect – bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming; Assisting with medication – preparation and administration; Helping with mobility – and using aids/equipment safely; Preparing meals/snacks – and offering mealtime support; Carrying out light domestic duties – laundry, making beds, light cleaning; Offering companionship and reassurance – building meaningful relationships; Encouraging social engagement and family connections; Monitoring health and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals and family; Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided; Responding to emergencies safely and effectively; Working collaboratively with families and the wider care team

Requirements

Full UK driving licence; Access to own reliable vehicle; Right to work in the UK; Compassion; Communication skills; Problem-solving skills; Commitment to respectful, high-quality care

Nice to have

At least 6 months of social care experience
