CCW Operator

The Armor Operator is responsible for setting up and running all armor products, including wire, strap, and continuous welded armors. The Armor Operator is also responsible for producing a quality product in a safe and efficient manner while promoting a team atmosphere. This position is responsible for problem solving and proactively seeking ways to improve the Armoring process. In addition, the Armor Operator is responsible for maintaining all equipment in the Armor Work Center.

Responsibilities

Set up and run all armor products, including wire, strap, and continuous welded armors; Produce quality product in a safe and efficient manner; Promote team atmosphere; Solve problems and proactively seek ways to improve the armoring process; Maintain all equipment in the Armor Work Center; Continually strive for continuous improvement; Work as a team with other Armor Operators and Dekoron employees; Promote safety in all processes and activities; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School diploma or education or GED; Ability to pass a weld/repair certification; Ability to read and understand work order packets; Ability to make Wire Armor and Strap Armor in-process repairs; Ability to use MIG and torch welders, mechanical pressure welder, and electronic welder; Ability to set up and operate a spark tester; Understanding of proper hoist use when lifting/loading Strap Armor; Understanding of proper procedures for returning unused materials; Ability to report unusual conditions, defective material, or equipment to a supervisor; Ability to follow correct procedures for set-up and running of all types of armor including Gardex, Strap, and Wire
