CDL Class B Driver

The CDL Class B Driver is responsible for safely transporting and unloading metal and/or glass products to customers while providing strong customer service and resolving issues that may arise. This position reports directly to the Fleet Manager. This role is ideal for an individual who is safety-focused, self-motivated, and flexible with shift start and end times.

Responsibilities

Safely transporting and unloading metal and/or glass products to customers; providing strong customer service and resolving issues that may arise; handling, loading, and unloading glass and/or metal products; load securement; daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; multiple deliveries; customer interaction; unloading loose, crated, and racked glass, metal, and associated products; operating boom cranes; regular and predictable attendance; safe task performance; adherence to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, procedures, and Critical Safety Rules

Requirements

Meet all DOT requirements, including an unexpired Medical Examiner’s Certificate; safety-focused; self-motivated; flexibility with start and end times; ability to read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes, delivery schedules, and effectively use a tape measure; ability to read, write, and speak English; strong customer service and interpersonal skills; minimum of 2 years flatbed experience; available to spend 2 nights out per week; Interstate CDL Class B; Air Brakes Endorsement required
