Central Supply Coordinator

This position is responsible for directing the Health and Wellness Program and ensuring that Senior Lifestyle standards and state requirements for resident care are met. The Director of Health and Wellness will direct staff, ensure regulatory compliance and be responsible for the management of the clinical budget.

• Order, receive, store, and distribute all nursing, resident care and central supply items

and equipment in accordance with established purchasing procedures and budget

guidelines.

• Verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips; report

shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the department leader impacted by the

shortage and appropriate vendor.

• Stock resident care areas, treatment carts, and supply rooms to established par levels;

rotate stock using first-in, first-out practices and monitor for expired or damaged items,

removing them from circulation promptly.

• Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, backorders, returns, and credits; maintain

accurate records of packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders and forward

documentation to the Business Office Manager as appropriate.

• Track durable medical equipment (e.g., oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, specialty

mattresses).

• Ensure all supply storage areas comply with infection control standards and the rules

and regulations of all regulatory agencies, including proper separation of clean and

soiled items.

requested by the Executive Director, Administrator or Business Office Manager.

Level of Formal Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least; one year of experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply management in a health care facility,; helpful.; Area of Study: General; Years of Experience: 1+ years; Type of Experience: Inventory, purchasing, or central supply experience in an assisted living,; skilled nursing, sub-acute care, or memory care setting; Special Certifications: N/A; Language Skills : Acceptable fluency in English to perform job duties and speak, read, write,; and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.; Technical Competencies: Basic clerical and computer skills including data entry,; spreadsheets, and inventory or purchasing software, ability to perform basic mathematics for; inventory counts and cost tracking.; Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, residents, families, and all levels of staff,; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.; Information Systems : Experience with inventory management or ordering systems helpful; Personal Attributes: Dedicated and organized; Other/Preferred: N/A
