An opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Chef to join the Journey Beyond Rail on-train team. You would be responsible for the high quality preparation and presentation of the fine dining menu on board our trains.

Responsibilities

Preparation and presentation of the fine dining menu on board our trains; Preparation of unique menu, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction; Maintaining levels of stock and inventory; Hygiene, cleanliness and general safety of all staff working in food preparation areas; Compliance with HACCP

Requirements

passionate and proud of the food and service you deliver; willing to go above and beyond for our guests; Certificate III in Commercial Cookery; minimum 3 years industry experience in fast paced culinary environment; Current Senior First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain); physically demanding role requiring work on feet for long periods; work away from home for up to 7 days at a time, one-week on one-week off roster cycle; professionalism, immaculate personal presentation; enjoy engaging with our guests
