AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate for our Transportation team based in North Bay, Ontario.

This is a new position expected to start in May 2027.

Responsibilities

Working within the (Highway) Design group on the planning and design of provincial highway facilities; Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications; Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians and planners; Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids; Following corporate quality procedures

Requirements

Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation, Highway, or Roadway Engineering

Nice to have

Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, AutoTurn, InRoads/ OpenRoads, InfraWorks); Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design; Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills; Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
