Cocktail Server - Sweet Tea & Barley

Responsibilities

Greet guests hospitably and serve them efficiently providing proper food and beverage service; Learn and describe menu items to guests including chef specials; Suggest wine and other beverages; Responsible for standard table set-up procedures and cleanliness of the dining room; Other duties as required.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age due to A.B.C. § 4.1-307; 1 - 2 years server experience in a full service restaurant; Excellent public contact skills to include tact, courtesy and patience; Ability to meet the standards listed below, satisfy customers under all circumstances, communicate effectively, read and write, perform basic mathematical computations and memorize the food and beverages offered, learn and communicate relevant dining information to guests; Physical requirements include bending, lifting, stooping, carrying trays weighing up to 50 pounds, and extensive use of stairs; Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and TIPS® certification
