Responsibilities

Completing small to medium maintenance and repairs commercial projects; Communicating with customers to help them understand what they need to have done and managing expectations about the scope of work and costs; Delivering a great experience that wows life-long repeat customers; Following the Mr. Handyman Way; Documenting the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way; Encouraging customers to complete satisfaction surveys; Finding additional ways to be of service to customers; Invoicing appropriately, sourcing any needed materials, and collecting payment from customers

Requirements

Live within the area; Have 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of: Carpentry work; Bathroom improvements; Kitchen improvements; Painting, both inside and out; Drywall work, minor and major repairs; General plumbing and electrical, where allowed by law; Exterior and Interior Door installation, window installation; Familiar with building codes; A commitment to fulfilling the Mr. Handyman Way; Workmanship that reflects excellence and integrity; A positive attitude that reflects someone who finds the answers to problems and gets the job done; A respect for all people, both in the office and in the field; Enthusiasm and energy in your work; Self-management; Providing excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Having the necessary tools, including the ability to use technology
