Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist - PT - Days/WEEKENDS - $10K Sign on Bonus - MRHS

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist I provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Spends a minimum of 25% of time practicing in secondary discipline.

Responsibilities

Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure(s); Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department; Reviews patient history and physician's orders; Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation; Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate; Prepares equipment and supplies; Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment; Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary; Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues; Enters, transmits and reports scan results

Accredited Program: Radiology; Hospital Experience; CT Certification; ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; BLS American Heart E-Card - American Heart Association; BLS American Heart RQI E-Card - American Heart Association; BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard - American Heart Association; BLS Certification Grace - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential; BLS Cert Red Cross - Red Cross; Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT License) - State of Florida; Registered as a Technologist (RT) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as required by state law; Registered in computed tomography (CT) by ARRT within 1 year of hire date; Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program; Critical thinking skills; Decisive judgment; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; Accountability; Administration of contrast media; Customer service; Image production, analysis and archival; Patient and family centered care; Patient assessment and care; Patient positioning and procedures; Radiation protection; Responding to change; Standards of behavior
