Computer Field Technician

This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position, you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. This is a 1099/per call position. Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed. Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day. The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units; Complete calls assigned through tech portal; Confirm service times with customers in tech portal; Complete services at customer sites (residential and commercial); Pick up parts daily from assigned FedEx or UPS store before going onsite; Drop off old parts with pre-paid label after completing calls

Requirements

Prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware; Prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops; Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; Comfortable with daily local travel; Access to a computer and the Internet; Available to log into tech portal by 9 am each morning worked; Regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays
