Computer Field Technician

Computer Field Technician position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. Based out of Granbury, Texas, BC Tech Pro partners with techs all over the country to complete on-site hardware warranty services in their territories. 1099/per call position; pay is based solely on the number of calls completed. Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Call volume is usually 2-4 calls per day. Services are completed at the customer site, visiting multiple work sites throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Perform hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units; Complete on-site hardware warranty services at residential and commercial customer sites; Confirm service times with customers in the tech portal; Code calls and map out the daily route in the tech portal; Pick up parts daily from the assigned FedEx or UPS store before going onsite; Drop off old parts with the pre-paid label after completing calls each day; Complete Dell and Lenovo certifications during onboarding

Requirements

Prior hands-on experience with hardware on laptop and desktop units; Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops; Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; Must be comfortable with daily local travel; Access to a computer and the Internet to log onto the portal each day; Available to log into the tech portal each morning worked by 9 am; Regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays
