Construction Operative with HGV Class 2 Licence

Clear Channel UK are a leading Out of Home media owner, operating more than 33,000 advertising sites nationwide. We are looking for a Construction Operative to join our growing team in St Helens. You’ll be working as part of a two-person crew, spending most of your day breaking up ground and replacing / installing new digital units and bus shelters for our local communities. You’ll have access to a HGV Class 2 vehicle to help you do this. This role will involve travelling to sites in St Helens and the surrounding areas, plus occasional travel further afield and some night working dependent upon business needs. You’ll receive an attractive salary of £39,000, annual bonus, paid annual leave 25 days plus bank holidays, opportunities for flexible working, training and development and fully expensed tools and PPE. It’s a physically demanding role which requires you to work at height, mainly using a small step ladder, so you’ll need to be a team player and watch/help out your crew partner.

Responsibilities

Working as part of a two-person crew; Breaking up ground and replacing/installing new digital units and bus shelters; Transporting digital units from the depot to the installation site via a HGV truck; Breaking ground and installing digital units; Replacing component level parts on digital units; Following the Construction Design and Management regulations 2015; Making sure traffic management is in place before starting work with segregation/prevention measures to prevent unauthorised people within the working area; Following Health and Safety policy and site-specific risk assessments and method statements; Correctly using equipment including working at height, maintaining and keeping tools/equipment safe on site; Travelling to sites in St Helens and surrounding areas, plus occasional travel further afield and some night working dependent upon business needs

Requirements

Full driving licence with no more than 3 points; Class 2 HGV licence; CPCS A36 Lorry loader hook [novice or above]; CPCS Slinger; Competency in CAT use; NRSWA accreditation to Operative standard; CDM knowledge; Excavation and sub-structure knowledge; Understanding of RAMS; Ability to read and understand technical drawings; Competency in use of power tools such as Hydraulic breakers and Disc Saws; Experience in simple groundworks and installation; Ability to learn on the job and turn your hand to various manual tasks; Ability to work at height using a small step ladder; Team player; Ability to commute to and from the St Helens depot independently
