AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity to join our team of professionals as a Project Accountant in our Phoenix, AZ office.

Responsibilities

Supports moderately complex project(s), working under general supervision.; Prepares various financial reports and provides analysis and recommendations based on findings.; Requires a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner. Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting practices.; Performs audits and generates special financial reports.; Reviews projects for accurate revenue recognition and provides project analysis and recommendations based on findings.; Matrixed environment, reports to local Project Executive and Regional Controller.

Requirements

BA/BS Business, Finance or relevant curriculum and 2 years of accounting experience or A/AS and 4 years of relevant experience or HSD/GED and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.; Construction project accounting.

Nice to have

Demonstrated experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).; Experience in construction accounting.; Experience with construction financial documentation.; Strong Excel experience.; CMiC or Textura experience is preferred.; Ability to work independently and demonstrate ownership of processes.
