POSITION SUMMARY

The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations including production and analysis of periodic

financial reports and forecasts. Supervises a team of accounting/finance professionals.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.

Advance courses in Financial Management, Business Law and Computer Science are beneficial.

• Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience required. Cost accounting background

and experience preferred.

• CPA or graduate degree is preferred

Bilingual skills in English and Portuguese are highly desired.

Responsibilities

Maintain an adequate system of accounting records.; Responsible for maintenance of comprehensive set of controls and budgets.; Ensure accuracy of the unit’s financial results; Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as those of the group.; Complete ongoing analysis process and production constraints, margin analysis, and tracing; Perform monthly GL account reconciliations.; Analyze ‘plan to actual’ variances and product profitability reports.; Monitor and oversee other location accounting activities including factory A/P and payroll.; Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.; Able to work as a team with others in the department.; Capable of managing change, and problem-solving skills.; Well-developed communication and organizational skills.; SAP experience preferred.
