Custody Detention Officer - Bank

We are looking for people who want to make a difference working alongside the Police in custody suites, caring for detainees – From supporting them during the time spent in custody, working with other agencies to support and help with detainees' rehabilitation. The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs. As well as escorting detainees, making recorded observations as per their individual plan, you'll work with colleagues and the Police to deal with any detainee that is a risk of harming themselves.

Responsibilities

Caring for detainees in police custody suites; Supporting detainees during time spent in custody; Working with other agencies to support and help with detainees' rehabilitation; Providing individuals with physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs while detained; Escorting detainees; Making recorded observations as per individual plan; Working with colleagues and Police to deal with detainees at risk of harming themselves

Requirements

Reasonable level of spoken and written English and basic numeracy; Full valid driving licence; Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years; Valid British passport or settled status; Subject to police vetting checks; Completion of national Police Vetting prior to starting the role
