Customer and Sales Support Representative

Our client is a healthcare company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, providing specialized diagnostic and clinical services to a range of organizational clients. This is a hands-on customer support role within a small, collaborative team. You'll be the frontline contact for clients — managing orders, answering questions, and resolving issues — while helping maintain accurate records and strong data practices across the department's core systems.

Responsibilities

Respond to client calls and emails in a timely, professional manner; Enter and manage customer orders accurately; Look up and communicate results to clients as needed; Maintain and update customer profiles and account information; Onboard new clients into internal systems, including the company's LIMS (laboratory information management system); Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the team lead when appropriate; Maintain HIPAA compliance across all customer interactions and data handling; Identify opportunities to promote additional services to existing customers; Support consistent data quality practices across systems used by the team

Requirements

Prior customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare or regulated industry; Comfortable learning and working within order management or CRM/LIMS-type systems; Experience handling sensitive or confidential data in a regulated environment; Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and client-focused; Detail-oriented with solid data entry accuracy; Local to Kalamazoo or willing to relocate (fully on-site role)
