Customer Service Representative

Store 2743152: 2046 Lincoln Way East, Massillon, Ohio 44646. Shift availability: Evenings (Weekdays + Weekend Availability Required). Part time. Essential duties include Customer Satisfaction, Facility Condition, Merchandising, Sales Controls, Financial Controls, Security Controls, and Administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt excellent customer service; Greets customers as they enter and thanks them as they leave; Gives assistance and offers suggestions or recommendations; Rings up sales on cash register and handles money, checks, and other payments; Performs multi-function operation of fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions; Maintains store facility condition and performs cleaning and housekeeping duties; Inspects store facilities and equipment for safety and proper working order; Notifies Store Manager of equipment failure or maintenance/supply needs; Completes build-to's for ordering/purchasing merchandise; Receives and verifies vendor deliveries; Maintains adequate stock and rotates stock properly; Places advertising and pricing signage; Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and selling expenses; Assists in maintaining inventory levels and shift audits; Keeps accurate cash, sales, and inventory control records; Notifies Store Manager of sales, cash, or inventory discrepancies; Follows Company/brand guidelines for product breakage or spoilage; Reports incidents and unsafe, unlawful, or unethical conduct; Keeps accurate shift and timekeeping records; Attends job-related meetings; Provides regular and predictable onsite attendance; Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to accurately operate a variety of equipment that may include cash registers or scanners, hot or cold beverage dispensers, and other machines or tools; Ability to work as scheduled including arriving to work on time; Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described below; Ability to work in the conditions described below; Ability to be exposed to cold or warm temperature extremes performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer and outdoors; Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead; Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist; Ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands for entire shift; Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds; Ability to reach overhead for objects; Ability to bend and twist at waist; Ability to communicate orally; Ability to operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard; Ability to stoop, kneel, squat, bend, push, and pull; Ability to work alone; Ability to be exposed to occasional noise; Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift; May require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs

Nice to have

High school diploma or GED preferred; Experience in retail sales preferred; Ability to perform the four (4) basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) preferred
