Data Engineer IV + SQL Dev

We have a 6 month contract to hire for a data analyst with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 6+ years of statistical/data analysis experience, ideally with healthcare industry exposure. The strongest fit will have hands-on SQL and SQL Server/SQL Developer skills paired with SSIS and SSRS, plus solid data validation and ETL experience. Bonus points for HEDIS measurement/rates experience, Encounters exposure, or background with Active Batch and Control-M, since the manager flagged those as valued extras. Given the EST-only remote requirement and the note about a prior contractor performance issue, candidates should be comfortable speaking clearly and specifically to their hands-on experience in interviews — vague or generalized answers are a stated disqualifier for this hiring manager. 100% Remote.

Responsibilities

Data analysis and processing; Advanced SQL, SSIS, SSRS; scheduling tools such as Active Batch, Control M; diagnosing system issues; data validation; quality assurance testing; data manipulation; data mining; working in production cloud infrastructure; knowledge of Microsoft SQL Servers and SQL; experience with one or more of C#, Java, Python, SQL; hands-on role in provider data management
