Dental Assistant/Receptionist - 1300SMILES Roma

Join 1300SMILES Roma as a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist and become part of a friendly local team supporting patients across both clinical and reception areas.

This is a varied role where you'll have the opportunity to build your dental skills, work closely with the clinical team and get to know the patients who visit the practice. With a mix of general, preventative, children's and emergency dentistry, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of dental care while also developing your administration, reception and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Providing chairside assistance during general and emergency dental procedures; Preparing treatment rooms and instruments ahead of appointments; Sterilising and maintaining instruments and equipment to infection control standards; Welcoming patients, managing the appointment book and answering the phone; Maintaining accurate patient records and processing accounts; Supporting the clinical team with administration and day to day practice tasks; Keeping reception and clinical areas clean, tidy and running smoothly

Requirements

Friendly, approachable and confident working with patients; Comfortable switching between clinical and reception duties; Reliable, organised and willing to help wherever needed; Calm and reassuring when supporting nervous patients; A clear and confident communicator; Previous dental assisting, dental reception or customer service experience is advantageous, but not essential; Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous, but not essential
