Design Studio - Cabin Interior CMF Designer (F/M)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Industrial Designer (f/m) to join our Design Studio based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing cabin interior solutions within Airbus Industrial requirements. As part of the Design Studio, you will be involved in Airline interior concept definition aiming at securing Aircraft deliveries on time and Quality.

Responsibilities

Report directly to the design studio Leadership team for project allocation and deliverables including development on the job; Plan and manage the design from conception to completion, from initial brief, design development, CMF (Colors, Material and Finish) innovation and specification, tendering for worldwide customers through Airbus industrial process, keeping adherence to project milestones; Manage and follow up customized design projects within a multi-cultural team while dealing with customers (airlines) worldwide on a daily basis; Work collaboratively with other Airbus Departments, understanding their needs, constantly championing the customer; Create high quality presentation materials that communicate the design intent at any phase in a project; Bring new way of thinking, creative ideas, and way of working to strengthen the design studio approach; Contribute to the evolving design culture and process in Toulouse and Hamburg Design studio; Contribute to the Design Studio Strategy implementation which aims to bring value to Airbus and customers

Requirements

Previous experience working in one or more of the following design fields: industrial, product, airline, automotive, architectural, interior color, material and finish; Positive mindset who always tries to innovate and bring creative way of thinking; Degree or equivalent in a relevant design field (Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related field); Design experience in either CMF, Lighting, concept, Industrial Design is mandatory; Knowledge on 3D tools and any kind of visual making a difference during design concept phase is a must; Rendering; Fluent in relevant software (Adobe CC, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office, etc.), tools, materials and manufacturing processes; Exceptional visual, communication, and presentation skills; The ability to work seamlessly across functions; Team work orientated; Attitude to work within a team; Problem solving attitude; Autonomous and pro-active; Able to travel to shows and suppliers both domestically and internationally worldwide; Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity

Nice to have

Knowledge of project management would be a plus; Knowledge of InDesign Key and CAD software eg KeyShot, Solidworks, blender, Rhino, etc. are a plus
