Director of Security

We’re looking for a full-time Director of Security to join our Security team reporting to the Chief Security Officer. This role is a remote role based in the USA. In this role, you'll play a key role in protecting Gainsight's infrastructure and clients' data by developing and managing information security strategies, leading a team of cybersecurity professionals, and owning compliance, security architecture, and identity management.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the organization's IT security strategy, policies, and procedures; Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential security threats and develop strategies to mitigate them; Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC2, etc.; Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the organization's IT security posture, including insights, recommendations, and metrics

Requirements

7+ years of Security Leadership; 10+ years of experience with compliance, security engineering, identity management and security architecture; Technical Security Leadership; Led and managed a team of IT security professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the effective execution of security initiatives; Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical executive audiences; Strong presentation, storytelling, and influencing skills

Nice to have

Experience managing a security team in a SaaS environment; Managed IT in addition to security teams; Security Certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM etc.)
