Dishwasher / Steward

Responsibilities

Maintain daily sanitation log for both dish machine and manual pot washing sink; Clean and sanitize all dish ware, pots, pans, and glass ware either by hand or by using the dish machine; Ensure all chemicals are at sufficient levels in the dish machine; Be energy conscious and turn off lights when not in use, keep water faucets turned off and report any leaks to supervisor or manager on duty; You will be a key player in safety by paying close attention to specific high traffic areas to avoid accidents, slips, trips, and falls; Use proper dishes and glass racks to ensure proper cleaning and avoid chips, cracks, or breakage of small wares; Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment; Can learn different tasks within the kitchen and develop new skills; Be a part of a team and assist in other areas when business levels dictate; Properly recycling all cardboard using the compactor

Requirements

Ability to work on feet for most of the shift; Ability to obtain a Washington Food Handlers Certification
