Distribution Associate I - 2nd Shift - MWRSC

Distribution Associate I – 2nd Shift in the Midwest Service Center First Mile / Logistics department. Works Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, supporting the Midwest Regional Service Center (MWRSC) in Ada, Michigan. The MWRSC provides pick, pack, and ship services to local Amway Business Owners, as well as domestic and international warehousing. Starting pay: $20.27/hr plus a $1.75 off-shift premium.

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate receiving, processing, and verifying of incoming shipments to ensure stock is received and replenished; Pick, pack, and ship orders to customers, confirming shipment counts with packing slips and purchase order numbers; Responsibility for warehouse inbound and outbound orders on-site and across the globe; Operate a Hilo to load and unload trucks, and store and move materials; Assemble product kits; Ensure product is properly received and orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped to customers and affiliates

Requirements

High school diploma; Prior experience in a warehouse environment involving merchandise handling (1 to 3 years preferred); Must be capable of lifting 0 – 50 lbs; Ability to operate a stand up and sit-down Hilo; Experience in an industrial or warehouse setting preferred

Nice to have

Ability to interface with customers and provide excellent customer service; Basic computer skills to include inputting, retrieving, and analyzing data in warehouse programs and applications; Prior experience working with Blue Yonder and/or JD Edwards Software; Strong attention to detail, ability to problem solve, take initiative, and desire to develop and lead people; Ability to operate a variety of equipment and tools in a safe manner (e.g., pallet jack, utility knife, shrink wrap machine)
