Drill & Shovel Maintenance

Repair heavy equipment including electric shovels and various drills, including preventive maintenance, rebuilds and breakdowns. Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday with some weekend and afternoon shift work required.

Responsibilities

Conduct work area exam for assigned area(s) to identify hazardous conditions and take necessary steps to correct identified conditions; Inspect equipment and perform diagnostics tests, including the use of scanners and other electronic/mechanical testing equipment; Repair heavy equipment including electric shovels and various drills, including preventive maintenance, rebuilds and breakdowns; Fill in for the fuel and lube truck as needed, including required weekends; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Strong mechanical and welding background; Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions; Ability to be self-directed, team-oriented and work with minimum supervision required; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations required; Excellent attendance record required; Proven safe work record required; Team player, leadership and good interpersonal skills required; Ability to work callouts and weekends; Must be able to obtain the required tools
