Responsibilities

Completing maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects; Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers about scope of work and costs; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience that wows repeat customers; Following the Mr. Handyman Way; Encouraging customers to complete satisfaction surveys; Finding additional ways to be of service to customers; Invoicing appropriately, sourcing needed materials, and collecting payment from the customer; Completing work correctly the first time; Documenting the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way; Wearing proper PPE and booties to protect the customer's home

Requirements

Live within the area; Have 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of the following: carpentry work, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting both inside and out, drywall work minor and major repairs, general plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, floor installation and refurbishing; Familiar with building codes; A commitment to fulfilling the Mr Handyman Way; Workmanship that reflects excellence and integrity; A positive attitude that reflects someone who finds the answers to problems and gets the job done; A respect for all people, both in the office and in the field; Enthusiasm and energy in your work; Self-manage as you will be alone often; Speak with customers and provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Have the necessary tools, including the ability to use technology; Document the job while following the Mr Handyman Way; Wear proper PPE as well as booties to protect the customer's home
