Electrophysiology Physician

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a 13 week locum Electrophysiology Physician job in Canton, Ohio, paying $3,200/day - $3,500/day.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat patients with electrical abnormalities of the heart, such as arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation; Perform electrophysiology studies (EPS), catheter ablations and device implantations like pacemakers and defibrillators; Manage patients with implantable cardiac devices, including routine follow-ups and troubleshooting device malfunctions; Work closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient care; Provide emergency care for patients experiencing life-threatening arrhythmias; Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements

ACLS; BLS; Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school; Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); Completion of a fellowship in cardiology, with a subspecialty fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology; Board certification in cardiovascular disease with additional certification in clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM); Active and unrestricted medical license in Ohio; At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting; Comprehensive understanding of cardiac electrophysiology and related procedures; Expertise in performing complex procedures, such as radiofrequency ablation and device implantation; Ability to make quick, informed decisions, particularly in emergency cases; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams
