Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Senior Engineer, perform detailed structural designs and calculations for structural systems in commercial and industrial fields for both reinforced concrete and structural steel type structures.; When required assist with Revit modelling.; Take responsibility for structural design and drawings.; Be part of a project team, liaise with other professional team members and contractors.; Attend planning, design and site meetings, and ad-hoc site inspections.; Manage less complicated projects; Work to ensure the implementation of safety and integrity principles in structural documentation.; Promote compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities.; Work will mostly be on international projects.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years’ experience in design of concrete and steel structures.; Solid knowledge and understanding of structural analysis software like Tekla Structural Designer / Etabs / Robot / Idea Statica, etc.; Revit Structures knowledge will be advantageous.; Must have experience in the design of reinforced concrete and structural steel buildings.; Finite element design of concrete structures, specifically flat slab design.; Some experience in leading small design projects, including resource planning and design time frame estimates.; B.Eng. Degree; M.Eng. Degree preferable; Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work under pressure and understand the importance of delivery and client satisfaction; Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills; Good commercial awareness / risk management skills; Good planning and organizational skills
