Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations Internship

Fidelity Investments offers a placement internship in its Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations team in Galway, running from January 25th to August 20th 2027. Interns work under close supervision on tasks in their designated function, supporting cloud-based systems, monitoring tools, ITSM tracking, and service management operations, with on-call support when necessary.

Responsibilities

Work with and support teammates to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer and internal support expectations; Help support resilient, cloud-based systems aligned with the long-term strategy; Provide outstanding support, including on-call support when necessary; Help build and automate using monitoring tools and an ITSM tracking tool; Engage in operations support to implement solutions for Service Management; Collaborate across Fidelity teams while working closely with the Major Incident Management, Operations & Data Analytics teams

Requirements

Ability to work well with others in a team environment and display time management skills; Clear and sound reasoning when solving problems; Keen interest in networking and supporting complex technical systems end to end; Passion for learning new things and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks; Logical thinker with superb communication and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time; Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools; Attention to detail and follow-through on all tasks; Passion for problem solving and troubleshooting; Initiative and proactivity, including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously; Good interpersonal awareness and ability to keep the team informed; Students with a background or interest in networking, network monitoring and troubleshooting and a real passion for technology; Degree in Computer Networking and Engineering or equivalent with grades of 2.1 or higher is desirable

Nice to have

Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Cisco and or networking is an advantage
