Environmental Services Technician - Cabarrus (Full Time) 2nd Shift

Full-time Environmental Services position at Atrium Health Cabarrus, 40 hours per week, benefits eligible, 2nd shift 3p-11:30p with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas; Dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures; Washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures; Sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors; Vacuuming and shampooing carpet; Re-stocking restrooms; Replacing light bulbs; Reporting repairs; Heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes; Collecting and transporting soiled linen; Emptying trash containers; Changing sharps containers; Transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors; Recycling material; Emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking area; Keeping equipment clean and orderly and reporting equipment failures to maintenance staff; Maintaining a safe working environment and complying with procedures, infection control guidelines and departmental quality standards; Attending required in-service education and training classes; Meeting time schedules and deadlines

Requirements

Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner; Can operate equipment; Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers; Performs repetitive work according to set procedures; Able to work in stressful, fast-paced, contaminated, isolation, construction and renovation areas; Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform continuous walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching and climbing ladders; Must pass a physical ability test as a condition of employment

Nice to have

High School diploma or GED equivalent; One year experience
