Equipment Maintenance Technician 2

Equipment Maintenance Technician 2 to provide technical services, including mechanical design support, for a manufacturing facility in Sumter, SC. This role requires hands-on tool proficiency and works a G-Shift schedule (3-2-2-3).

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical design tasks requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles; Use hand tools including Allen wrenches, torque wrenches, and socket wrenches (no exceptions); Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and part drawings; Support project management activities within the manufacturing environment; Work overtime hours as requested based on business needs

Requirements

0 to 5 years of relevant experience; Minimum of 2 years' work experience in a manufacturing environment required; Proficiency with Allen wrenches, torque wrenches, and socket wrenches; Strong verbal and written communication skills; PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, SAP, CAD, MS Project, and Visio; Working knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and part drawings; Basic and applied engineering principles; Two-year degree in applied technical sciences or equivalent from a vocational/technical college; Must pass on-site eye exam; Steel toe or composite-toe shoes required; Background check must clear (may start with background pending); Willing to work G-Shift schedule (8 AM–8 PM, 3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off) and overtime as needed
