Fire & Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You'll ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements. You'll be expected to carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire alarms, CCTV, Access control and Intruder alarm/associated equipment and products to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards, alongside appropriate documentation and records in a timely and appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

Ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements; Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire alarms, CCTV, Access control and Intruder alarm/associated equipment and products; Complete appropriate documentation and records in a timely and appropriate manner; Actively attend and participate in company-initiated training to maintain up to date knowledge of technical aspects

Requirements

Experienced Engineer; Effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works; Compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements; Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire alarms, CCTV, Access control and Intruder alarm/associated equipment and products; Work to relevant legislative and qualitative standards; Complete appropriate documentation and records; Excellent communication skills; Basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy; Work to high levels of Health and Safety Requirements; Previous experience in a similar role carrying out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry; Service test and inspection experience to the relevant standards/codes; Fault-finding techniques; Attend and participate in company-initiated training

Nice to have

Previous experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS; Following Health and Safety Legislation, preferably in the engineering field; Sharing technical and problem-solving abilities and knowledge with colleagues; Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision
