Full Time Day Porter

ServiceMaster Commercial Services is looking for a full-time commercial cleaning day porter. This position supports Newport News City Center and involves cleaning offices, conference rooms, break rooms, and common areas, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash, cleaning and stocking restrooms, restocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service. Full-time averaging 35-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with occasional weekend events. Compensation: $14.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Creating clean, safe, and welcoming workplaces; Cleaning offices, conference rooms, break rooms, and common areas; Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting; Emptying trash and replacing liners; Cleaning and stocking restrooms; Restocking supplies; Maintaining a professional appearance while providing excellent customer service

Requirements

Dependable and punctual; Flexible with work assignments and schedule; Detail-oriented; Comfortable working independently; Physically able to perform cleaning duties throughout the shift; Ready to learn and grow; Willing to undergo background screening; Willing to undergo drug screen; Able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours, bend, reach, climb stairs, work indoors and outdoors, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

Previous commercial cleaning experience is helpful but not required
