General Laborer (1st Shift)

Job Summary: The incumbent will be able to enter and exit tanks through an opening of 18 inches at minimum; buff/grind steel tanks, wash steel tanks, according to specifications; ensure products meet quality standards. Be able to work in cooperation with other operators and in different areas as assigned. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Plastic and/or metal working experience is a plus. Responsibilities

Enter and exit tanks through an opening of 18 inches at minimum; Buff/grind steel tanks; Wash steel tanks according to specifications; Ensure products meet quality standards; Work in cooperation with other operators and in different areas as assigned; Use various tools like grinders, saws, drills and hammers; Read and understand blueprints; Stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time; Work in a group or individually; Wash and rinse plastic containers thoroughly; Work with cleaning chemicals and use appropriate PPE (gloves, glasses, face-shield, overalls etc.); Work in ambient air temperatures; Maintain inventory in work area; Perform routine maintenance in work areas (sweeping, straightening and basic clean up)

Enter and exit tanks through an opening of 18 inches at minimum; Read and understand blueprints; Demonstrate ability to read and understand directions, procedures and checklists; Demonstrate ability to complete work tasks given in a timely manner; Demonstrate ability to work both alone and in groups; Demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to quality; Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; Occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; Have close vision, color vision and peripheral vision
