General Manager

Fresh are seeking a dynamic and passionate General Manager to lead operations at Hearth House, our brand new 198-bed student accommodation development in Southampton, opening to residents in September 2027.

Responsibilities

lead operations at Hearth House; acting as the key contact on site and liaising with contractors; supporting the completion of snagging works and ensuring Hearth House is ready for launch; developing relationships with local universities and partners in Southampton; driving room occupancy through proactive marketing and outreach; working with the in-house recruitment team to recruit and build a dedicated on-site team; overseeing day-to-day running of the building including budget management, team leadership, stakeholder relationships, and resident satisfaction

Requirements

experience managing residential operations or similar environments; confident and proactive leader; comfortable taking ownership and making decisions; adapting to the evolving demands of a new development; strong organisational skills; attention to detail; ability to bring people together to achieve shared goals; motivated by building something from the ground up and creating a positive experience
