General Neurology - Full Time NP/PA

Our Atrium Health Neurology team consists of over 60 physicians and 30+ APPs across Charlotte fostering an engaged and collaborative environment. Our established APP Leadership structure, alongside our Center for Advanced Practice, provides support, advocacy, and numerous opportunities for professional growth while prioritizing well-being and cultural safety for our team. Atrium Health’s Neurosciences Institute – Neurology is the region's largest and most experienced stroke network. Our Neurological Specialists work together to provide wide-ranging, seamlessly connected neurological care. We invest in the professional and clinical growth of our Neurology APP team with numerous research and academic opportunities and are looking for someone that is eager to learn, driven, and motivated to provide the highest level of clinical care. The APP will participate in the education of learners (other APPs, students/APP fellows, nurses, and new clinical teammates) and with our operational leaders and stroke program coordinator to help support transition of care initiatives.

Responsibilities

Providing general neurology care in an outpatient setting; 12-16 patients per day with consults, follow-ups, hospital follow-ups and procedures (including botox for migraine); participating in education of learners (other APPs, students/APP fellows, nurses, and new clinical teammates); supporting transition of care initiatives with operational leaders and stroke program coordinator; providing patient-centered care in an environment focused on community health

Requirements

2+ years of experience as APP required; ability to see patients autonomously with the support of other onsite APPs, expertise of onsite rotating subspecialists, and continuous access to our extensive network of neurologists virtually; strong clinical knowledge base with academic desire; driven and have passion for innovation, education, and collaboration
