Grant Writer II, Foundation & Corporate Relations

The Grant Writer II will have the primary responsibility of leading the preparation and submission of grant applications in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by corporate, foundation, and/or private agencies. Working across departments, the Grant Writer II coordinates and manages the full proposal development lifecycle, conducts prospect research to identify and evaluate foundation and corporate funding opportunities, and develops strategic concept papers that advance AltaMed's programs and operations while supporting fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by corporate, foundation, and/or private agencies; Work closely with the Senior Grant Writer, Foundation & Corporate Relations staff, Public Grants staff, and external consultants; Coordinate and manage the full proposal development lifecycle, including establishing submission timelines; Facilitate collaboration among internal and external partners; Gather programmatic and financial information; Ensure the timely completion of all proposal components; Conduct prospect research to identify and evaluate foundation and corporate funding opportunities; Proactively recommend opportunities for leadership consideration; Develop strategic concept papers that highlight innovative practices and initiatives that advance and expand AltaMed's programs and operations while supporting fundraising goals

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Public Health, Communications, or related field required; Master's degree preferred; Minimum 5 years of grant writing and/or professional writing experience with demonstrated success, preferably in proposal writing for healthcare or the nonprofit field required

Master's degree; Experience in proposal writing for healthcare or the nonprofit field
