Group Mgr, Supply Chain

At Lam, as Group Manager, you play a crucial role in managing supplier's delivery performance and supplier development to deliver operational excellence. This role is responsible for developing and sustaining the world-class Supply chain operations for Cables Commodity, to lead a team of Supply Chain Business Managers.

Responsibilities

Accountable for defining & monitoring metrics in line with AOP objectives relative to supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement; Owns Supplier Performance Management (OTD - on time delivery) through scorecards and other related parameters for Cables commodity portfolio; Owns on-time material delivery, near-term supplier capacity to support production goals, and inventory management strategies; Drives material availability escalations & coordinates with supplier management to ensure no line down; Manages and responsible for team performance, develops people and participates in organizational development initiatives; Continuously working on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control & manufacturing strategies; Encourages and coordinates early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design; Takes lead role in cross-functional strategic commodity team that focuses on supply challenges; Engages with a sense of ownership with engineering and supplier management to resolve complex problems to ensure delivery of critical material on time; Owns and drives the improvement of suppliers’ manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and on-time delivery; Manages quality escalations to ensure standards/processes and part/supplier compliance; Drives root cause and corrective actions using the 8 disciplines of problem solving; Hands-on experience of Business Continuity plans and Risk management programs; Managing contracts for ongoing and new business with suppliers

Requirements

Min 12 years in Supply Chain, Operations, or production/planning in Manufacturing/Engineering Industry; Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial engineering or any other stream; General shift, flexible to take meetings in USA PST & Asia time zone; Materials/Operations Management and familiarity with semiconductor, electrical equipment manufacturing or high-technology supply management practices, standards and organizations; Business and technical background with an understanding of all Standard Items, Proprietary items, Mechanical parts and Electrical components such as circuit breaker, cable harness, and power box components; People management experience - managed Materials Engineer/Specialist or Factory Operations or Procurement team, previously responsible for group of >06 people; Proven ability to gain partnerships in a cross-functional environment with Sourcing, manufacturing, quality as well as procurement, finance, and product support; Prior experience in managing team from supply chain operations, materials management, purchasing etc.; Hands-on experience in material planning, factory shortages – setting vision and objectives, creating strategies, forecasting, and budgeting; Demonstrated skill in decision making and problem solving and experience in making business judgments; Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables; Excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including Executives; Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution in a Global Supply Chain operation; Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment

Nice to have

MBA; Experience in the capital equipment industry, e.g., semiconductors, medical equipment, construction equipment, etc.; Knowledge of manufacturing methods and commodities as related to cost structure; Proficient in Data Analytics & Presentation Skills; Six Sigma green belt or above is a plus
