Handyman, Maintenance - Carpenter

A fast-growing home improvement and remodeling company has immediate, full time openings for skilled remodelers, carpenters and handymen.

Responsibilities

Completing Maintenance & Repairs – small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, project length ranging from two hours to two days; Making Recommendations and Managing Expectations with Customers – communicate with customers to help them understand what they need to have done and manage expectations about scope of work and costs; Create Life-Long Customers – deliver a great experience that wows life-long repeat customers and follow the Mr. Handyman Way; Encourage customers to complete satisfaction surveys; Meet revenue targets by finding additional ways to be of service; Invoice appropriately, source needed materials, and collect payment; Complete work correctly the first time

Requirements

Live within the area; Have 8+ years' experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Self-manage as you'll be alone often; Speak with customers and provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Have necessary tools, including ability to use technology; Document the job while following the Mr. Handyman Way; Wear proper PPE as well as booties to protect customer's home; Strong proficiency in at least three of: Carpentry work, Bathroom improvements, Kitchen improvements, Painting inside and out, Drywall work minor and major repairs, General plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, Floor installation and refurbishing; 10+ years of demonstratable experience
